Sandy, I've noticed the same thing. Ordinary (non-Collins) A's that used to go for $400 or so not more than a year or two ago are now commonly $800+, with really nice ones flirting with a grand.
I'm afraid I missed my opportunity to snag a nice one at a reasonable price. I keep hoping for a low BIN, but I don't think it's gonna happen...
