[QUOTE=Steve D.][QUOTE=cbenham] "Cliff, It might have been the 1950 Technicolor film "My Blue Heaven." Many of the scenes, especially the music numbers, take place in a tv studio. I recall all the control room monitors and a home tv receiver in a living room scene had color pictures on their screens. All inserted via post production special effects of course."
Thanks very much! I got the DVD and there certainly are A LOT of great shots of old vintage B&W sets and B&W studio equipment making glorious color 'video' in this film.
My favorite is the shot of the RCA projection set with the screen that 'flips-up' out of the top. I would like to add a color wheel to one of those sets and make reality out of what is seen in the film.
I wonder if there are other movies of this era with color TV images matted into recognizable B&W TVs?
Regards,
Cliff
