VK now FORBIDDEN on W7
How did this happen? Just happened recently.
I'm at the library today. They DO have a faster connection than McDonalds. Suppose I'll have to upgrade to W10!

It is the only site , that I visit, that does this. Might be a new security issue. The W7 I have is only service pack 1. The porn sites still come thru.
Does this at McDonalds, BK, Wendys, ChickFila, and the BHFM (Buford Hiway Farmers Market), and Starbucks.

I've seen public wifi block videokarma somewhere before. Never had a problem before on my home connection (except when the whole site was completely down for everyone), it's been a few years since I accessed it on something other than a windows 10 or android device though... Maybe I'll give it a try on my basement Windows 7 schematic viewer rig tonight if I get a chance to do some bench work.

Well my win 7 schematic viewer PC still can load videokarma....that machine hasn't seen an update in almost 2 years though... I'm going to update it and see what it does.
It's probably that public wifi you're on causing the issue though.

Thanks for the info. You mean Google Chrome. Hmm I'll try putting firefox on it and see how it does.

"W7" confused me. I see that it meant "Windows 7" here. And yes, the first step with any Web site loading/viewing problem is -always- try another browser. (And, Chrome and Edge may be similar enough to not count as "another" browser between them.)

You likely have a certificate issue.
Last month I visted with a a 1994 Toshiba Satellite T2400CT. 486 processor 16MB of ram running Links browser set to graphical mode. It was slow loading but I was able to get around just fine. For Windows 7 give Basilisk browser a try. All the certificates are built into the browser I've had really good luck using it with XP SP3. Fresh up to date versions are available for Win 7. |

I found a 32 bit version of Firefox and I'm running that now. This sort of reminds me about Hotmail about 2 years ago. Microsoft changed something and it wouldn't open up on W7 (or Chrome). Many people were complaining. And NOW it works again on W7 (or Chrome). Go figure!
