I emailed the guy, he says he wants to save them as TVs but no one would take them. He's looking for suggestions as far as places to advertize them where they'll be appreciated.

I remember these being posted many months ago. The fact that they are still there, and he is suggesting "repurposing" them, is a reminder that the supply/demand of old tv sets is out of kilter. We can continue complaining about the fishtankers but if we're not personally willing to save all these sets then we are just blowing steam.

If I had $10K to spare I'd buy an acceptable used pickup truck and go get them all. My old beater just won't go that far.
