Storage Wars TV show, tube televisions ...

You guys watch the A&E reality show called "Storage Wars"?
Its about folks who purchase the contents of abandon storage lockers.

The show is very entertaining and I highly recommend it. One of the stars in the show runs a consignment shop.
I noted a write up that they sell "tube televisions" in their store:
"It's a humble but organized inventory: heavy on knickknacks and tube TVs"
http://www.orangecounty.com/articles...ve-brandi.html

Their store is located in Orange County, California.

I like Darrel myself.

I think I could be around Brandi for about 2 seconds. But the show is quite entertaining. Everything seems to be overvalued (at least for what it goes for up here) but that's the case with most of those shows.

All of the characters in the show have "personalities".
I think Brandi is kinda hot and sassy and like her as a character.
Personally, i identify more so with the "Collector".
The auctioneer and his assistant are interesting too.
I've come up with my on "Yeeep" to use at Estate Auctions my wife and I attend - but she says if I use it, she is immediately going home:-)

That Dave guy is so full of himself. I watch the show from time to time to see what they unearth.

The one I like is Barry. Well, "like", in this instance, is relative. Let's say I dislike him least of all. Jarrod & Brandi, I kinda feel sorry for, they're young & trying to get established/make it, but Dave & Darryl rarely cut 'em any slack. I'd think there's enuff out there for EVERYBODY....(grin)

I think Dave is the one all of them admire and aspire to acquire his skills - perhaps not his ruthlessness though.

I agree, Jarrod and Brandi are the ones to feel sorry for - they are struggling with their consignment store. Their store is lower volume and lower quality than Dave's "Newport Consignment" store.

Darrell is successful too but not to Dave's level. Dave and Darrell are the two most successful self-made guys that are always butting heads and trying to stick it to the newbie bidders.

The Collector Barry is obviously "independently wealthy" and not looking at purchasing Storage lockers to make his mortgage payment. Instead he is having a ball looking for that special "collectable".

Dave the auctioneer is good at the story line. His wife/assistant is always smiling beautifully.

The show has a good set of personalities and A&E TV is going to do a second season because of the shows success.

Be special if they show a storage locker full of old radios and TV's? And then get their comments about how good/bad the stuff is -- did you see the one where they found an old Victrola?
