Barberpool-Question

Hi to everyone,

I need a fine scan of the Philco Predicta barberpool manuals.
It has to be a 9 L 37, the set has no real tags like european sets.
My line transformer went south, so I am planning to change the CRT
(which also has to be a troublemaker), the line transformer, and the yoke.
I should decide to use Philips material, AW 53-88.
Maybe the knack is a little longer, so I have to add some distance washers.
Maybe I have to make some changes in the schematic of the set.
Anyone experience with that?
Until now I didn`t check the datas of both CRTs.

All inputs are welcome!

Best regards,

TV-Collector

You can order the Sams manual from http://www.samswebsite.com/ . It is Sams item #113111; Set 439, Folder 1.

Curious: Barberpool? Never heard of a Barberpool before.

A Barberpole was a tall, pedestal type structure generally posted outside to locate a Barbershop.

Wasn't the Philco Predicta likened after a Barberpole?

The ETF has Schematics for the Holiday, Tandem and the Princess, I'm not sure if any of those have a chassis similar to the Barberpole (Philco called it the Pedestal) or not.
