Radio I picked up today
I picked up a neat TRF radio today with a few other item including a Heathkit stereo integrated tube amp with tube stereo FM tuner and record changer and a Blonder Tongue agile modulator for $45. There is no brand on the radio or model number, only a serial number. looks like it was in a cabinet at one time. All the tubes are there. Looks like it might be missing one of the cans that contains some filter caps but I'm not sure. if anyone has any info on brand/model, please let me know. BTW, they were going to throw it in the scrap bin soon.

I don't recognize the radio chassis; but, the record changer is a Voice Of Music (VM). VM supplied record changers for just about every manufacturer of record playing equipment.

Thanks radiotvnut for the info. The base is home made. probably bought about the same time as the heathkit. Maybe early 60's.

The radio is early thirties. That looks like a globe '80 in the back corner, and the two ST tubes near it I'll bet are 45's. All those if good are worth money. What does that chassis tag say?

It's made by bremmer tully(I hope I spelled it right). They went out of business right after the crash of '29 so It cant be early 30's. I found a date on one of the cap labels dated 2929(29th week of 1929) That big giant tube on the corner is a glass ballast tube. The 80 is behind it inline with the other tubes and is NOT a globe type. In fact there a no globe tubes to be found. Looks like most have been replaced with other brands.
