Can we Identify This?

On my local CL, and I'm not really into consoles, but is this a roundie color set anyone recognizes? BTW, it's Free!

It could be a GE CB21. The stereo control panel and record changer looks like a GE product.

OK, so this is perhaps mid sixties....towards the last of the roundie color sets?

Looks like GE. Space at bottom has room for
"General GE Electric" logo. Also dont remember any
others with square hole hold down arms.

The "B" line models we the 1966 models.
That model was the first GE set to use the "Crystal Ringer" design. Actually it's a glorified Porta-color.
It could be similar to the '57 21CL500 color circuit.

Lots of compactrons but a transformer chassis, and likely an RCA derived CRT.

Good ol' GE used the ringer circuit in the 15CL100 from 1954, and in most if not all color chassis after. Not a bad circuit IMO, but as with any design, problems occur.

I think GE, as well as a lot of other TV builder's quit building color sets around 1958.
Admiral quit building their own chassis and started buying RCA chassis, as well a few others.
The problem was a lack of color programming.

The crt bezel definitely is GE

Definitely GE. That tuner has those long rocker switches in it, and many things are HARDWIRED. GRR.

I have a GE stereo from that era. It seems a little better, than a lot of the others. It uses Delco transistors in the output stages.
The CB chassis was the one involved in the x-ray recall. The regulator tube was the problem.

Lots of peoples in the 60' used to say to stay away from GE color tv.

OK, I'm in no need for such a big set in the 1st place, but if it were not a combo, might be fun to mess with, but GE definitely has bad memories from those years IIRC.......looks like the recyclers get another one!

Love them roundie combo sets! And I do really like the relatively understated traditional cabinet.
