VCR-DVD Recorder Head Swap

Hello. I have a Funai VCR-DVD Recorder combination that has bad video heads. I also have a SV2000 (Funai) VCR-DVD Recorder that has good heads, but as soon as you put a tape in it, it shuts off and the tape hangs out of the cassette. Would it be possible to transplant the heads from one VCR to the other?

Have you compared the head units, their mounts and connectors? If they don't look the same they almost.certainly won't swap, but if they do look the same there is fair odds they will interchange.

Might be easier to fix the tape mechanism in the one with good heads. There will usually be alignments needed with a head change, like the head switching point and the center of the tracking range aka "X value" .
