Looks like someone may have already did a cataract job on it. I wonder if possibly it could have already been restored?

Do Zenith's get cataracts? I've only owned one Zenith roundie. It was unrestored, worked great as-is with no cataracts.

Yes Zenith's do, but not the same way that RCA types do, they get the green gummy sticky hazy kind that's best removed with a hot wire pulled through it vs the direct heat method with the RCA, that looks like a white mold or rot around the edge like your GE has.

Some do. Sets with a 21FJP22 get the green cataracts since FJPs glue the entire inside of the safety glass to the entirety of the CRT face with clear glue that degraded and stops being clear. Sets with a 21FBP22 do not get cataracts since there is no glue. There is a black rubber spacer/dust gasket at the edge and the only thing that holds the safety glass on the CRT on FBPs is the clamping force of the CRT mounting hardware.

There's a 21GUP/GVP22 that's similar to and compatible with the FBP/FJP pair. IIRC the U is the gasketed and the V is the bonded version.

I had a Zenith nearly identical but with a 24MC32 chassis, which used a 21FBP22
These generate high pulse voltages on the VOT, putting them in the high-risk group for a shorted winding.

I had a set with the 24NC32 chassis also. I had to replace the vertical output transformer.

I know who this may be, so this is a great deal. These were the final shunt-regulated, round CRT sets Zenith made.

I have most of the same 24NC31 in the "Harvard" cabinet, looking for a CRT and back cover. Early American with legs.

Like this one , I still enjoy the Early American styling... if only we weren't moving to Denver at some point in the next year or so. You should grab it Dave!
