Retrace Lines and Title Sequence Interference DuMont 12" RA-103D
Just putting the finishing touches on a wonderfully performing DuMont RA-103D. Needs one more thing and that is a mod specific to this chassis to remove retrace lines, slight loss of Vertical Hold, retrace lines, interference from bright titles, etc. Varies with content, all of it dad's, mostly black and white.
I know Banderson is on this. If he or anyone else has the mod (for dummies, explain it that way, thanks) I'd sincerely appreciate it. You can see it playing on my YouTube account. Under Lee Barmakian |

I'm not sure I had that issue on titles with my RA-103 Doghouse, but when I modified it to connect to my Norelco protelgram duovue projection end table I ended up doing a retrace mod. It was needed because the contrast and or brightness settings for the protelgram were different enough from the direct view that if I set them to look good on both sets and bounced between the 2 screens one would have retrace lines. I think I may have documented it on ARF, but if I didn't I'll have to comb through the unreleased YouTube video footage I recorded on that project later.

I saw it. Well done. But I'm not interested (or good enough?) to tweak out a circuit to match the DuMont. I believe Bob Anderson did. Maybe he can chime in.

Nope. I restored a Rumson a few years ago for a customer but made no modifications. I haven't touched my Doghouse yet.
