Anyone ever see Grumpy Old Men?

the 1st one, not Grumpier Old Men..i just watched it for the 1st time the other night and found out that Walter Mathou's character used to be a TV repairman....he went into his neighbor's house and she had a 54 Super Zenith that'd been turned into a fish tank!!!!!! well, that made a lot more sense now (i always wondered why they had a bunch of older TV sets hanging around in the sequel!) just thought i'd post this...dont know why..

Still has me rolling on floor everytime I hear it, only hope I can have a friend like that at their age. Bob

Yeah, I can barely wait to turn 50 so's I can OFFICIALLY become a "Grumpy Old Man". Now, I'm merely eccentric & cranky...-Sandy G.

I'm almost 49, and am known as a dirty old man to my friends.

Some friends think that I could play Walter Matthau in his life story

In my last job, I was known as ODB... Old Dirty Bas**rd.

Sounds like they hated me? Not at all! When I left in May 2005, they gave me a going-away party.

I've seen Grumpy Old Men, and have the DVD, and have never noticed that Matthau was a TV repairman.... I know first hand how he would feel. Sniffing burning resistor fumes all those years. Mmmmm...

The best part was all the old remotes Walter Matthau had at his disposal. Just for shits and giggles he'd change Jack Lemmons TV stations next door. It's sad to think that all 4 of the older male actors in that first movie are deceased.
