tv restoration question
Hey guys,
after many years of searching I finally bought an admiral bakelite floor model set yesterday with the single chassis. I have always been a fan of antique tv's, and have always loved the look of this set, but I do not know how to repair them myself. the power cord is pretty frayed so i did not even attempt to plug it in. I live in Brooklyn, Ny, and was wondering if anyone in the general area knew of anyone who could restore the set to perfect working order? If so, what is the usual cost for this type of service? I'm only asking because I doubt that I would be able to learn how to restore it myself. thanks a lot, any info would be greatly appreciated Bryan |

You could try contacting area radio/tv collector clubs in your area to ask for a repairman recommendation. Here's a list of clubs:
http://www.antiqueradio.com/clublist.html I know that the NJARC is a large, active club. Not sure about others in that area. Phil Nelson |
