Jvc hr s8000u
I have a JVC HR S8000U that I purchased from the original owners son that has MANY issues.
I took it to a tech to have the loading belt replaced and a NOS idler assy installed. Unfortunately he did a terrible job. 1: When I playback a tape I see white streaks shooting across the screen. I think it's an issue with the static brush assy. 2: When trying to rewind in play mode or stop mode, the machine stops after a few seconds. 3: When fast forwarding in stop mode, the machine won't respond to any other buttons except the Power button. 4: This VCR has a half loading mechanism, and when you go into stop mode the tape has slack on the supply side, and when you eject it slightly eats the tape. 5: When playing a tape the takeup side, the tape bunches up around the pinch roller and the takeup side spindle struggles to turn, but doesn't eat the tape during playback. 6: Left channel Hi Fi audio is dead. I assume either tape path alignment or bad caps on the Hi Fi board. 7: Wiring. Apparently the original owners son must've messed with this machine and so the tech had to solder the ribbon cable to the main deck assy. The tech happened to pull out one of the wires that goes to the FE head connector. Any ideas? |
