CTC 16 On Ebay

Nice looking set! Aurora, IL is the place to pick it up. Appears to have a cataract and not burn like the seller says.

Is this one really a color set? Only 4 controls? The phosphor color looks to be the same as a black and white set, but it's hard to tell from the picture.

As Polaraman rightly points out, it's an RCA CTC-16 color set. 1965 vintage. The two controls at the bottom are the tint & color. Nice clean set and in the central U.S. Someone in that area who wants a roundie, now's your chance.

The other four knobs are thumbwheels. They're below the crt and to the right. In the picture if you look closely you can see the shadows they cast.

I think it looks very much like the one my family had also. But I am not sure the cabinet on ours was that wide. I am sure that the bezel and knobs were the same but I just don't remember the speaker on the left side but it could have been there I guess. Does anyone happen to know what cabinet styles the CTC-16 went into back then?

The cabinet is in good shape and I live fairly close but is it really worth the price considering the pic tube needs work?

The picture tube repair is a piece of cake. Kinda fun to do, actually. Good sense of accomplishment when you are done, since you can see the results so dramatically.

Actually, the worse the cataract the easier they are to do.
