Need a 12up4
Hi gang,
Does anybody by chance have a usable 12up4 metal shell crt for a Zenith porthole. I have a great set I want to restore but the crt has an open filiment. I sent it off to Hawkeye to be rebuilt but Scottie is hesitant to attempt the rebuild because there is a high probability that the face of the tube will crack during the rebuild. So I am up a creek without a picture tube. Thanks, Bob Galanter Milwaukee

I would forget about the 12U and try to find a 12LP4. You will have to do some mechanical modifications, but the 12L will work just as well.
