RCA CTC9 service manuals?
I've noticed that the Sams CTC9 schematic seems to be wrong when compaired to my CTC9. The B+ fuse in the schematic connects between the rectifier diodes, but on my CTC9, it connects to the positive end of of C1 and the negative end of C2A. Looks like the fuse is on the wrong end of the thransformer, and even though it doesn't matter where the fuse is, I want some RCA CTC9 service data anyway. If anyone has the 1959 No. T6 (according to Ed's site), I'd pay them to photocopy it and mail it to me. This is the only set left that I haven't worked on yet that still might actually work (every set I've worked on always developed some mysterious problem like B+ to ground shorts, etc).
Thanks. Jonathan |

I have the field service guide which shows the 3.5 Amp connected to the RED lead of the transformer. The other end of the fuse connects to the negative side of C137 and the positive side of C105A (both being 160 MFD).
If you like, I can generate a PDF and email it to you. Send me a private message. Phil |

Hello Phil,
Yes, that's exactly how it is on mine. Is it a full schematic with full service data like alignment? I'll paypal you $5 for a photocopy, if you have access to a photocopier. If not and a scan to pdf is all you can do, I'll paypal you $5 for it. I definately need it. Thanks. Jonathan |
