I found this in the Charlotte TV find. I am posting it separate so Eckhard could comment. It is unusual to find a TV from Germany in Charlotte, North Carolina. The TV has a sticker from Radio Heck (the name of the shop) in Mannheim, Germany.

Maybe it was brought back here by a serviceman. Isn't there a US military base in Mannheim?

Phil,

Mannheim is the location of the military jail. It is not good to be stationed there!

Thanks for the tip on the sets in Charlotte. I have one more load to get.

My pleasure. I'm glad they're being saved.

Did the owner give any sort of explanation as to why these sets in particular were left over, when the old guy had previously had so many?

Phil,

They were in the basement of his house. They are now just getting to want to clean out the basement. They tried several times at giving them away. Most folks just wanted to cherry pick. Half of the sets are going to be parted. The cabinets are just too rough. Some of the sets have a busted CRT. The basement was pretty damp.
