Nordmende-Sterling "Caruso 58"
I just introduced myself in the "Introduction" portion of this forum and I hopped over here to see if I can learn more about Nordmende Sterling "Caruso 58" radio with record player. I found this a few weeks ago and to my eyes it's in tip top shape cosmetically and what looks to be all original too. I found this link* earlier and in in post #12 there is a great picture. I noticed however on the front it only says Nordmende while mine say Nordmende Sterling. The pic says 9 tubes and mine has 6 tubes. So I'm trying to learn as much as possible about this.
* http://videokarma.org/showthread.php...ight=Nordmende Here are some pics that I have taken. Any info, ideas, insights etc; would greatly be appreciated. TIA Last edited by Jackstraw; 05-16-2012 at 07:06 AM. |

I recapped a Nordmende radio for a friend a few years back. Seems I recall the radio was from Germany and was well made. It played really great after the recap. That was the only one I've seen in person.

Thanks Charlie,
I've since found out it is German made but can't seem to find out much more. I'll keep looking for more info. |
