That is over $12 million in dollars, not units. Total TV sales for for 1956 were 6,804,783 units per US Dept of Commerce

Wayne,

I found these slides on line several years ago. They were just posted randomly. Thanks for posting so I can now see them in proper order.

Note that the poster is not sure of the order, just tried to make a good guess.

These are great!
I like how this guy gets more evil looking as the show progresses.
Even the woman unveiling the TV looks pretty sinister.

It would sure be interesting to hear the record; I wonder about that slide showing the series 700 rework-I'm guessing CTC-7's that were upgraded?

I know a fellow with a bunch of Chrysler/Plymouth/Dodge material like this, complete sets with the filmstrip and records. I need to talk him into letting me borrow some just to check them out.

kv, if you ever get down this way (on the way to the beach, maybe?) you could stop by, he has a store here in town. He has a massive amount of NOS Mopar stuff from a dealer he cleaned out. These sets are among the parts and include titles like "Plymouth against the Edsel" and "Selling the Chrysler to the Buick owner" that sorta thing.
