Talon Electronics out of business????

Over the years I've purchased quite a few hard to find parts from this place. I tried last month to check their inventory, but the site noted they would be closed for the holidays. I waited a few days ago, but this time the site is blank. So I tried to email them and the email was returned (does not exist).

Anyone know if they've gone out of business? It would be a shame as they had parts I couldn't find anywhere else at the time. They were also extremely knowledgeable and helped me find updated parts and numbers. I don't think I'd have been able to fix a few issues I did had it not been for them.

I hope they are still around.

Well this is huge loss! I rebuilt and entire convergence board for NOS parts acquired through them. Not to mention all the smaller passive components. My set wouldn't be where it is now without them. Ebay is fine, but most sellers don't know if what they're selling is NOS or a bad module put in the new modules box.

I last placed an order with them in early December, shortly before they closed for the holidays, and it arrived quickly and without incident. No indication they were closing anytime soon. I'm hoping maybe they're just doing website maintenance or something, I figured out my login still works and I can still check my order history. Just all the product pages are blanked out. They are directly local to me (Norfolk; I'm in Virginia Beach), so if a quick rescue needed to happen I could do it. I've got a trailer!

With out them, I wouldn't have gotten half the stuff I needed to repair my TV. Not only the parts, but the knowledge and willingness to help. I hope they aren't closing shop, but if they do, I hope the inventory doesn't disappear into storage somewhere.

Likewise. I remember a few years back contacting them about trying to source some knobs for an RCA color tube portable, and not only were they able to look up and provide me with the RCA part numbers, they had most of them in stock! Last summer they put up a notice saying they were beginning to dispose of dead stock TV parts, and I tried asking if they'd consider a bulk deal for what they considered "dead stock" since I could pick it up locally, but they never got back to me
