Need zenith roundie convergence board

My zenith is a 24NC31Z chassis.

Long ago when i was screwing around with it after replacing the tube, trying to get it reconverged.

I broke a couple of slugs trying to adjust them with an allen key.

So i need a replacement convergence board. and maybe even a slug tool. hehe.

Thanks.

what's that board worth to you? I might have what you need.

and as far as what the board is worth to me, well without it the roundie is getting pitched. as i cant really watch it or use it.

well the problem is everything would adjust, but it would never really "pull" in so i ended up crusshing 2 or 3 coils trying to adjust the coils. And another one is about to be trashed as im already getting fed up with it.

first time i started playing with it since i replaced the CRT and broke the coils back in 05.

The board is yours for 10$ plus shipping if you want it. Don't get rid of the set unless you give it to one of us, it would be a shame to toss. Where are you at? I would like the set if you don't want it.

Does someone have the coils out there? I gave one of the last ones I had to zenithfan. Don't junk it because of a part you will eventually run across, especially if the TV is in good condition.

How well do the coils interchange? I've swapped the pots off of different brands of convergence boards but maybe you need more precision with the coils? Get the part numbers off the Sams-Moyers, or maybe even one of us, may have them on the shelf.

Your problem might be bad seleniums? Fairly easy to fix that.

If a slug jams heat the coil up with a hair dryer or heat gun. I ran into this recently with the efficiency coil on my CTC-5. One minute with a cheap hair dryer and it worked as smooth as new.

Wow - nice tip - I have been wincing every time I have to adjust a coil on my CTC-5, thinking of it possibly jamming.
