Pre-war Philco Question

The ETF Website has a picture of a very nice looking 10" pre-war Philco console:

Were these sets ever sold to the general public? Anybody here have one?

There are 4 surviving Philco prewar sets that we know about:

10" 1939 console, 10" 1941-42 console, 12" mirror in lid console, and 5" table model.

According to someone who interviewed Philco engineers who worked on the sets, none were ever sold to the public, and only 6-10 of each model were made.
