Regency TR-1
I recently "found" a Regency TR-1 in very good condition. It is dead, but there is clicking when power is applied. I have considered a recap. However, there is some thinking that the value will be dented if I do. Better to leave the radio dead and with original parts than to change things.
Any opinions? I'm all ears.

Supposedly, it is only three or four electrolytics they typically need. You could replace them but keep the old ones in a bag as well maybe.

When I replaced a cap on a early Hallicrafters transistor set I taped the original inside the cabinet so future owners would have it. Wonder if the guy that bought it from me found it? I sold the damn thing on impulse and regret it.
