this is part 6 of the latest predicta I have been working on, started with a swap meet purchase where the seller was under the impression that it needed a new fly back.
the other videos show the progress from the initial check out (testing the supposed bad fly before deciding to do more work on it). thru the completion.
I had to decide if I was going to pull the PCB to address a very bad HO tube socket, or just do a work around. Its not my set and I use the motto "1st do no harm" when working on other peoples sets, so I opted for the least invasive fix (just some solid wire stuck in the socket and tied the the correct point).
I know its a very mickey mouse fix but it works. I can always fix it later (owner is a buddy of mine) if for some reason it would need it, but frankly I think it will be fine, and I KNOW it works right now.
