Anyone familiar with Jerrold's AFT-300 tube AM-FM rack mount tuner?
I've got one of these tuners, and there seems to be nothing out there on the internet about them. My unit was missing the lytic can (not hard to functionally guess/fudge the wiring, missing resistor and filter cap values), and is missing the 1st FM IF can (all that is left is the plastic base, and the can mount clip). Does anyone know of a source of service info for this thing (it's not in the sam's index)?
It is probably late 50's to mid 60's given it has provisions for adding a FM MPX adapter. There is a covered hole for an additional knob so there may have been a simulcast stereo version of this unit. Will any FM IF transformer with the same mounting work? I've got a similar spare transformer in my parts stash by a different maker that seems mechanically identical and has 10.7 penciled on the side (it came in a lot where most parts were ID by the previous owner) so it appears to be an FM IF can.

All I see are the specs from their 1964 catalog half-way down the page at this link:
http://webcache.googleusercontent.co...&ct=clnk&gl=us The page doesn't display correctly on any browser I've tried it on. (IE, FF, Chrome) . |
