Best place to get orange drops

I'm looking to order a bunch of caps to get started on a few projects of mine.

I'm wondering if you guys know the best place to order orange drops from? Price and availability are key factors.

AES averages around 50 cents a piece. any better places?

Mouser has Sprague caps in 600 volt for 47 up to 94 cents each. Plus a vast arrray of other useful goodies. I'm getting ready to plan an order for my first complete recap on my RCA TC-127. If my transformer replacement goes well that is...

They have odd values and high voltage mylars such as 1600 volt ratings.

Dont know for sure. I have been getting them onesy-twosy from Mouser, but I just looked, and apparently I am paying more than you are. I use more Mallory 150's nowdays than orange drops anyway.

These guys seem to be highly regarded, though I have never ordered from them myself. I believe the caps are not genuine Sprague if that makes any difference to you.

We have used a lot of the non-Sprague mylar caps from Just Radios and they have worked great...have ordered hundreds of caps from them with no trouble.

I've been happy with Just Radios also, I generally just use the yellow mylars, much easier & neater to use than Orange Drops unless you are using them on PC boards.
