Looks to me like someone put a 50s TV inside a 30s radio / phonograph cabinet. A photo looking down into the cabinet the the lid up would have been nice.

That style of Deco was definitely out by the time that TV was made so i'm guessing home made also.
Nice that they included a towel rack on the side. Hopefully it wasn't a Pre-war TV in an earlier life.
