It must've came from Canada.
With the big CSA, stamped on the box.

Or it was CSA-approved for export to Canada. They were very picky about what they let get in. The company I spent most of my career at received a quarterly visit from a dude in a Geo Metro with the CSA logo on the door (looked kinda cute). He would individually test, inspect and review the paperwork for every device we were exporting there. They probably did "type-acceptance" with mass-market electronics, though, hence the stamp on the box.

I'm curious if/where Zenith had a factory up there, I couldn't find anything on Google. Maybe one of our Canadian friends can enlighten us.

The firm I worked for, for 33 years, also built products for the Canadian market. One of the engineers told me they were extremely fussy about their listings and inspection proceedures. The nameplate department would just stamp the letters CSA on the nameplate. That didn't go very well, as the company had to buy a special steel stamp, with the genuine CSA logo.
