Funny you mention Wiz of Oz...I have it in the video archives but chose not to use it for that very reason! :-)

I'm trying to find a 4:3 version of the movie "Suddenly Susan" starring Debbie Reynolds in the 1950's. Beautiful color that should look fantastic on these color sets.

What a beauty! Really nice, I have never owned one, or even worked on any "roundie" older than a CTC-11! Did you have to restore the CRT, or was the emission that nice after getting it working? I also like your display with the "Nipper's" and the Vogue Record on top! Vogue is another Detroit original!

If my memory serves me correctly...
The threaded shaft of the edge magnet assembly rides against a stiff piece of spring wire. If you can grab the front part (adjustment end) with a pair of needle nose pliers, push/pull the shaft in and out. Or go in from inside the set and push the magnets towards the front.

Emission was that nice at first try following a full recap. I don't have a CRT checker to test but it looks great to me.

I replaced the remaining paper caps under the chassis after these photos were taken. Had to order the .39 caps.

I never seem to keep color sets in the collection and always regret it when they leave. This time I'm resisting and keeping one long term. I should add a later roundie that I can run more often though. I'm tempted to turn the 5 on everyday and that's probably not wise with a 21AXP22A, Right?
