Elizabeth Taylor seen w/'56 Admiral color tv

Liz Taylor in a 1956 Christmas ad promoting "Ambush" perfume. A 1956-57 Admiral "President" model color receiver seen behind her.
Interesting that the word COLOR appears on the lower right mask. On production models, except entry level 'REGENT" model the words ROYAL 600 were on the lower right mask. The regent model just had the name ADMIRAL on the lower left mask.

The blue Admiral phonograph to the right of her skirt is identical to the one my parents had in the late 1950's.

The photo also shows the perfect gift for every wedding: A Blender! (My first wife and I received one. And, I'm sure my next wife and I will be given one, as well!)

I wonder how much Admiral paid for all that product placement?

To her left there's also a Monogram model car kit for either a '56 Pontiac or '56 Olds... (Interesting choice given their front bumper resemblance to Ms. Taylor...) with another car kit to the lower right of the photo...

Damn straight, Sandy. They don't make 'em like that anymore. Except for maybe Scarlett Johansen
