TK-31 camera control unit

Went to the local hamfest today...my how they have shriveled...and found this CCU for a 50's TK-31 sitting in the back of a SUV. $10 later it was mine. Seller had it for 30 years. He got it from a tv shop he worked at and the shop got it from a local TV engineer. Likely Philadelphia Ch. 6 or 10. No markings other than "3" as in Cam 3.

Side panels were long gone. Dirt and packing foam laying on the bottom. It is a combination B&W monitor and oscilloscope waveform monitor (3KP1). It needs a separate power supply and sync generator in similar suitcases to run and the interconnect cables. None to be found so it is just a display to go along with my prop TK-31 from other threads. The setup could use a fourth suitcase that was a five input switcher. I cleaned it out for display after the photos.

What CRT does it use? I'm figuring just a standard 7JP4, I don't see any yokes in there so I'm going to stick with electrostatic deflection...

I'll admit the photo of the jacks on the back has me slightly aroused. I do miss the silly types of plugs that were used prior to damn near everything going super tiny. SCART vs HDMI is a good example.

I think it is a 7CP4 left over from WWII use in drone bomb receivers. It has an odd bulge a the base of the bell before the neck. It mounts straight-in from behind the glass bezel.

The odd jacks were very clever by RCA. They were all different so only the proper jumper could be used from suitcase to suitcase connections.
