Sinclair mtv1

Just fishing around to see if anyone has any experience with these little tvs. The deflection IC is bad so I’m looking for a way to somehow to establish deflection by making a small circuit. The schematics that are around don’t show anything as far as details of that circuit. Maybe someone has done this I don’t know but it’s worth an ask. The deflection IC is unobtainable.

Hi to all,
Hi Timmy,

The Sinclair micro-TVs were a british product, you will have a better chance of response on the UK-VRR TV section here :

https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...splay.php?f=37

Ask if anyone has spare Sinclair proprietary ICs in their inventory.
The "Sets & Parts Wanted" section is here :

https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...splay.php?f=28

Do you have the 39 page color "Sinclair MTV1 service manual V2.1 (pdf, 3.4MB) ?
Compiled in July 2009 by Peter Wisniewski using info provided by Steve Niechcial and Jon Evans Further material and photos added December 2021 by Giles Read.

If not, i can send it (give me your Mail via PM).

I suppose you are looking for the Power & Deflection IC ST3 (IC401).

Best Regards
