Is there anyone in Michigan who might be willing to help with an alignment and convergence on this Zenith color TV? I just don't have the equipment or know how to do it properly. I really want to get this one tuned up to it's potential. I plan on keeping this set and it will probably be the only Roundie in my collection. I have had luck restoring many B/W sets but no luck at all with 60's color TV's. I've owned a few various Roundies before but all had convergence and alignment issues. Would be nice to have one good working color set. I'd happily drive the set to someone who could set up the convergence or walk me thru the tuning procedures. I've uploaded a youtube video showing the sets current condition
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMjJpf6iGUU. The set usually struggles to lock in color at start up, After running a few minutes the color improves and stays locked. You may remember this set from an earlier thread when It belonged to Mark(Zenithfan1) He really cleaned it up nice and replaced caps, filters, etc.. I've since had to replace the 3AT2 socket due to arcing at the base. Thanks for any help or suggestions. Here are few screen shots:
