Is this GE Model 62 Bakelite?

I have this exact clock radio and the case needs cleaning. Does anybody know if it's Bakelite or is it made of something else? Suggestions on how to clean would be appreciated...especially on what products or methods of cleaning not to use.

Managed to repair the clock today and so far it's keeping good time...that was a trip. Found this and a Heathkit IG-5237 at a local garage sale.
