Question Will JVC HM-DH30000 VCR accept HDV signals

Hey guys,
I was looking into the old DVHS format and was thinking about using a HM-DH30000 to capture HD signals from my PC as well as my HDTV receiver box. However, it only seems have firewire inputs, no HDMI or component in, so I thought I may be able to use a Canopus ADVC-HD50 which uses firewire and can convert the HDMI signal to HDV.
My question is; can the HM-DH30000 or other DVHS machines accept HDV signals?
HDV is Mpeg 2 @19 and 25mbps.

Cheers
