Plastic Dial Cover Removal

So I've decided to replace the dial cover on my GE 416 radio. I ended up finding a parts set where the dial cover is in ok shape, but I'm hoping Novus polish can remove the scratches. Looking at the cover from the inside, though, the plastic tabs appear to be glued to the main cabinet. I would consider just swapping the whole cabinet, but the one with the better dial cover is in horrible shape. Does anyone recognize the glue and have any suggestions on how to remove it? Also, regarding Novus, can it do much to touch deeper scratches?
