1955 zenith

i just pick up a 1955 zenith model r 2360 ru , the tv is in perfect shape ,nothing missing or frankensteined ,it's like it was put in a time capsole all it needs is recapped maybe a picture tube not sure yet ,i don't no if it was factory or not but it has a glass protector on top cut to fit. i just got the schematic ,so i will probley start recapping and take my time going through everything this weekend,if i dont get side tracked . WELL in stead of starting a new post on this tv ill just reuse the orginal back when i picked up this zenith, i started on it this monday after sitting around allmost a year , i just got finished recaping and repairing some other things ,like remake the yoke housing it fell apart. but it turned pretty good i havent aligined anything yet just by eye its got nice sharp pickure camera dosent show it that well but this really turned nice.

21zp4b even if it show's up weak i probley will put a new in it ,ill keep as a spare ,i like watching the old black white twilight zone on these older set's they go together nicely i have complete collection. can't believe that's how i bought it off craigslist the owner kept on trying to plug it in to show me the lines on the screan until i took cord out his hand ,ask him stop doing that. i already found 5 short and weak tube's .

People cant resist plugging old sets in. I bought a very nice 1954 RCA set and of course they plugged it in and left it on!!! Wouldn't you know it, A blown up 5U4 and a possible transformer open winding. AAAARRRRGGGGHHH!!!

Same here, I bet I've collected 100's of TV shows from the 50's and early 60's that I watch on my '55 Bendix.
Now you'll need to get some color shows to watch on that Maggie.
