Zenith Console

Can anyone help to identify this set? The only part of the model number that I could identify was C228. The cabinet appears to be in excellent shape as does the turntable. A friend picked this up at an estate auction. I could probably pick it up for around $40.00

It's a 1959 model, IIRC.

I have a spare chassis, knobs, Hi-Fi speaker set, and the optional Space Command (remote control) components in nearly new condition. If you need anything for the set, I probably have it.

I've got the '59 full line poster. Once I get home I'll post what it's fancy advertizing name was.

It is like a cross between the Gainsville and Hartford cabinet styles form what I can tell. I wonder if the phono was standard equip....my poster makes no mention of it as a feature.

It's identical in form to a '59 Admiral console I have. I'm sure it's a genuine offering, just a very uncommon one.

I have a '51 Emerson console w/ phono that likewise turns up on exactly none of the contemporary Emerson brochures/advertising.
