I had a "modern" Philco 19" set back in 1985 that I bought brand new,and had a great picture on it. I'd like to find an older vintage Philco set,though,...from late 1950's to late 1960's.
The late 50's to late 60's was when Philco was making most of their own products. In the early 60's is when they got themselves in financial trouble and Ford Motor Co. bought them out.
The Philco set you bought, was either a rebadged Sylvania or it's possibly one of the Philips designs and has a Sylvania sourced CRT, which had rather good color quality.
Welcome to the forum! A lot of sage wisdom here.
