It appears to be a RCA clone of some sort.

Was about to say... the hv cage cover looks like RCA. Perhaps it is a GE licensed RCA?

Oh hey, in the 2nd pic, do you see how the front cover is held on? lol

Actually the way everything is clustered kind of reminds me of my Admiral.

That power transformer looks pretty big .... 25 hz perhaps?
RCA knobs, octagon crt surround like 721.

Im guessing RCA 721 clone for Canadian market.

More pictures

Did I mention I am in Canada. Found a tag on the back of the power supply. It will work on 25 or 60 htz.It was built in Canada in the east. See tag and removable front face. It has two 5u4 on the power supply.

tubes

My set has a separate power supply with 2 5u4 tubes. I just got it and haven't got it out of the cabinet yet. Does your schematic show a separate power supply with 2 5u4 tubes?

To be compatible with 25Hz you have to prevent the power transformer cores from saturating by more than doubling the size of the transformer relative to the 60Hz American design. The American RCA 721 this is based on has 2 5U4s and a smaller power transformer. Your set is probably a direct copy of the 721 with the power transformer, choke and the first 2 lytics doubled in size and the ones too big to fit the chassis moved to the subchassis. That was basically SOP for Canadian RCAs and clones from 1946 to the CTC5 color sets of 1956. If you have TV experience you could probably service it off the RCA 721 schematic noting that the installed pi filter lytics would be bigger in your set.

25Hz sets will work fine on 60Hz... however 60Hz sets will have nasty hum and the power transformers will rapidly burn out if powered by 25Hz.

The chassis does resemble that in my (US) RCA 721TCS console. This article has various photos that you can use for comparison:

I've seen many vintage TV's in all my years, but never that one. Very interesting looking set. The top half definitely resembles the RCA 721TS tabletop set. I love it! Good luck with it.

Electrohome built all the Viking electronics in the 40's and 50's and also had their own Electohome brand name. The Viking's were identical in design with the exeption of a rebadge. Well made and and they worked well.
Cabinets were of a nice quality made by delicraft.

I'm the 3rd bc'er on this thread. Small world.
