CTC-5 64th Happy Halloween - 2021

When this CTC-5 was new, probably no one was wondering what it would be doing when it was 64 years old - here it is, celebrating Halloween.

Nice.

One of mine may end up at the ETF Swapmeet next weekend in time to get run on Halloween.

EDIT: it sold so now I'm back to having only 1 CTC-5.

Hmm.... 2021 minus 1956 equals 65 years old.

Aren't you one year short?

I owned the N version from 1968 until Steve McVoy picked it up before the museum opened.
It was a reliable set.

Looking at Wayne's picture and you can see the convergence is a "little off", if you look at just the convergence.
For it's age I think it has a decent picture .

Yeah. When I had the 21FBP22 in it , the convergence was just about perfect. With this GE rebuilt 21AXP22, that's about the best I can get. White purity is also off in the lower left.

Talking

Too bad everything (well, almost) isn't like Linus in that he never ages.
Some mornings I have trouble converging my senses, stone cold sober.

Nice picture Wayne, thanks for sharing.

It puts me in the mood to recap two CTC11's, one is a Philco (ch 12L80) and one from a blonde "Wakely" which is going to a VK member a bit north of me.

Im looking forward to more holiday pictures from your fine old models. Nothing newer looks like that, with real red phosphor!

Looks like a nice cat. I've always found black cats to be love bugs. Still miss our outdoor cat Kato from back when I lived in Florida, and wonder why he never came back one stormy afternoon.
