Philco 19" Briefcase Model...Probably Tube Socket
I was troubleshooting an audio issue with a couple of tube pin test sockets and now, I have an intermittent heater filament issue in this series string set. Probably cracked a joint somewhere under the sound IF circuit board. I hate taking these things out for reasons everyone knows all too well. These are identical to the Seventeener correct except for a bigger CRT screen and a smaller bezel? I can't remember if I can get access to the bottom of the sound IF board if I remove the CRT but that would be preferable to keeping track of a dozen wire stakes and the ground tabs that need to be de-soldered and bent apart. This thing was all but there. Probably self-inflicted with some cheap build quality to help it along.

Looking at the Sams Photofact for the 11H and 11J briefcase 19 sets, it does not appear that the chassis has cut-outs to access the bottom of the boards.

Yeah I think I’ll have to go through the series string and check continuity. I’ve looked at the tubes and they are fine.

Was preparing to test the string tube to tube continuity and noticed a broken solder joint between a wire and a post on the top of the sound board labeled "Fil". Need to start checking the more obvious possibilities before imagining the more disastrous fails. TV back to working condition.
