The CTC-5 is the most Muntz-like chassis of the RCA roundys (heck, Muntz started building RCA color clones with the CTC-5)... Most RCA color chassis are significantly better than the CTC-5.

A fine point: the CTC-5 Super chassis is the cheapest, poorest performing and most common one, of which you speak. The rarer Deluxe chassis is closer to the CTC-7 and following chassis versions.
