Stunning! I have incredible respect for those who created these sets with what was available to them in 1954. Nothing else that you could buy for your home could have been so advanced. And, here we are today, over 70 years out, and we can still just sit and wonder at what they did.

Marshall, I always enjoy seeing your pictures of tv stuff. I wish I could do as nice as you do. Just curious as to how frequently you power up this set. It’s certainly a rare one.

Nice to hear from you again. I power it up for guests, family members. Also for the Academy awards show, Thanksgiving day parade, Christmas, New Year and its restoration completion anniversary. It’s definitely not a daily driver for obvious reasons. When I have work done in the house, the vendors usually ask about it and I power it up. It’s well kept, out of the sun in a climate controlled environment on display in my media room. I’ve never had to adjust it or repair anything in the last 6 years. I feel fortunate to be the custodian.

Glad to hear this set is somewhat reliable without constant attention as early rca sets many which do. Zenith roundies are solid performers also..
