European Color Roundie gone for GPB 640.00

Hello,

on the British 'bay, a European color roundie was sold for GBP 640.00 to Italy today. The number is 170181709397. The set has a broken crt (A53-14X) which can be replaced by a 21FBP22.

It is the Philips "21KX100A" with chassis K4 and 33 tubes. This was the first commercial produced color tv set in Europe (1962 through 1964).

These sets were exported to Canada. Some sets were kept in Europe and were later fitted with a PAL decoder.

Maybe. But the NTSC versions also were made in Eindhoven.
