Dumont RA 103 "Doghouse"

There's currently one of these on eBay.

Did these sets come in two different cabinet physical configurations? The one listed appears to have completely vertical side panels. It does have the finger handle on the channel knob, which I think was the older knob. But, it appears to have the post '47 tuning eye.

Mine has slanted, diagonal side panels.

Are these different physical cabinet configurations date related?

The sides are sloped. The only reason the picture looks otherwise is because it was taken at a downward angle. If you look closely, you'll see that the sides are not parallel to the sides of the picture tube mask.

I thought that might be the case, but didn't know for sure. Looks like if you live in the Dallas area, you could get a steal on a nice Chatham Chassis. Can't tell if it's the original CRT, though.

Hmm. I can't find it on eBay - can you post a link ?

I see two that sold in New Jersey. One for $80 and another for $500.
