Hitachi 50V500 dlp set blows lamps?

Set blows lamps or indicates a blown lamp, then works, then don't. Is this a ballast failure?

Likely so - the MOSFETs fail often, but that model has other issues that cause lamp fail indications. See attached.

Not sure if it's blowing them every time or what. Not my set. Posting for someone. Just seems to me like it's time for a new ballast.
