Great thread,, anything helps as far as info regarding the Predicta,, seems like I tweak on that one the most.

Phil, I admire the restoration efforts and all the information that you've supplied on your website about your set. I wished mine looked as good as yours!
Mine was pretty ugly at first but it's a slow process. I'll work on it, improve it a little more, take a break from it, and repeat! It is now in playing condition but not completely there yet, and I need to make another base for the cabinet too. Other projects come and go and then the Predicta gets buried!

It was Phil's site that guided the work on my Predicta, and the result was having only a very minor issue after recapping. Because of his work, I have an absolutely wonderful set that runs like new.

I gave up on my Predicta Princess about 10 months ago - I think I was in over my head The voltages seem OK, but no sound or picture.
Since then, I've been reading up on site like Phil's and am starting to feel more confident. I have also acquired a spare chassis and NOS picture tube. One of these days I'll get back to it
