Perhaps the positive feedback that makes the vertical oscillator oscillate has failed and the synch pulse from a program is all that is exciting the vertical output...

Those are beautiful sets, Tim. The DuMonts are always impressive looking, and are built like tanks. No cheap plastic in those babies!

Much to my surprise, the chassis was totally recapped, and some new resistors in place. Only problem is that the 19AP4 is stone dead. Did I hear someone at ETF mention that the museum had some for sale?

The ETF did have 2 19AP4s for sale. Did. I bought one of the two and someone else purchased the other...
